City Elections 2005

Texas Public Radio is covering the 2005 city elections with a series of programs featuring interviews with candidates and issues advocates.  All declared candidates for San Antonio City Council and Mayor and proponents of both sides of Propositions 1, 2, and 3 were included.  The programs highlighting district candidates and the propositions were produced in conjunction with the League of Women Voters of the San Antonio Area and hosted by Texas Public Radio’s Don Gomes.

The three leading mayoral candidates took on the issues facing our city, in a live debate broadcast on KSTX 89.1 FM on April 27.  A panel of local media professionals asked questions of the candidates and Don Gomes was the moderator.  On the media panel was Lisa Sorg, editor of the San Antonio Current; Jaime Castillo, political editor with the San Antonio Express-News, and Joe Sandoval, editor with La Prensa de San Antonio.
