August 4, 2010 · Maria Ibarra was a college student at the University of the Incarnate Word when she was diagnosed with lymphoma.
Her ten year struggle with the disease and her eventual remission are told in the play Scars.
Scars will be presented at the Esperanza Peace and Justice Center this Friday and Saturday at 8PM.
TPR’s Yvette Benavides spoke to Ibarra about the work and her healing.
