On the lastest episode of TPR Green, Dan Skinner talks with Lisa Kivirist about self-reliance, self-sufficiency and returning to our farmstead roots of sustainability.  By growing our own food and purchasing from local farmers, we use less fossil fuel and maintain more control over what goes into our food.  Kivirist says her goal is for people to be on a first name basis with their local farmers instead of their doctors.  Listen here.

Community Advisory Board Nominations

The Texas Public Radio Community Advisory Board (CAB) provides input to the TPR governing board about programming, community service and impact on the community from the station's major policy decisions.  The CAB Nominating Committee is currently accepting self-nominations from individuals wishing to be considered for membership on the CAB.  Deadline to submit is February 1, 2012.  Click here to find out more.
